OPEN GOV INTELLIGENCE

■■■

OGI is a public data collection system developed by Delft University in the Netherlands. Its main function is to collect and catalog public data, creating a database. Its goal is to facilitate data research and streamline processes that rely heavily on research to be carried out. One of the examples we used to base the video on is the Irish Maritime Institute. For example, to conduct a rescue in the event of a shipwreck, the institute requires a lot of oceanographic, climatic data, etc., in order to provide assistance. The system aims to expedite this type of research by maintaining the necessary data in a more agile database.

We used this real case of system usage to create an explanatory video for our client, using animations. The video quickly explains how the system works and how it can be used in the institute's day-to-day operations.

   V   IDEO

Creating a fun video to explain a very complex project.

The idea behind OGI was to create a video that would explain the complex function of the software. For this task, we developed a script that would depict the life of someone who uses the software daily and how this software would make their work easier. Thus, we created the character John, who works at a rescue center in Ireland (the project is from the European Union) and rescues accident victims at sea. The result can be seen below.
